The white, bright, clear sunlight strikes the dew drops at such an angle that it is reflected and refracted back at your retina, split into the multicolours of the spectrum, so that at each step forward different colours hit your eye, and as you slightly move your head and eyes, the array of pin-prick points of coloured light change at each vantage point.
The effect is like walking over a diamond-studded green carpet, each step producing a new display of fiery, glittering points – a spark of light catches your eye – as you move your position, the light is concentrated by the prism of the dew into the most brilliant spectrum of colours, more brilliant than the fire of a diamond, more vibrant than a rainbow – white, yellow, purple, red, green, blue, violet,orange, – all flashing, sparkling, glistening and shining.
What do you feel when you walk through the dewy grass in the early morning? Do the reflected rainbow colours flashing from the dewdrops lift your spirit and cause you to wonder at the beauty of Life and Nature? To me this vision gives HOPE, Comfort and Assurance that however small or insignificant we may appear, whatever problems we may have, with God’s light shining through us we too can reflect His Glory, His promise of eternal life, bigger and better things to come, His Mercy, His Compassion and His Love.
I feel a challenge to live, to survive, to do something good. I feel connected to the Earth spirit. I want others to feel as I do – joy at the unlimited possibilities of the human spirit, expressions of love, hope for the future – I want others to know what I know – this life is just the beginning of something wonderful.

Yellow- green, violet- blue –
Crystalline perfection
Reflected in the morning dew.
Tiny tiny point of brilliant liquefaction
Acts as prism and light-beam splitter;
With diamond spark refraction
A multi- hued, multi- facetted glitter.
The universe is all in this –
Blue sky, stars, the clouds, great trees;
Deep oceans, dark space –
The highest mountains, the coolest breeze.
